SOUTH GERMAN CHEESE SPREAD
(Angemachter)

  • 1 Camembert circle*
  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/8 tsp Spanish paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Low-fat plain yogurt

Put all ingredients into a blender and mix well. Put enough yogurt in the mixture (start with ½ cup) to get a good spreadable texture. Spread on sourdough bread, baguette, Swiss bread or crackers, and have a good glass of beer with it (eg, the German "Warsteiner").

*May substitute a wedge of Brie.
